Parent Child Dedications

We believe that it is a joy and a privilege for each parent to lead their child into a loving relationship with Jesus Christ. Parent/Child Dedication at Verve City Church gives parents the opportunity to publicly make a promise to God that they will train their child in His ways, and our congregation offers its prayerful support of each family who participates.

Child dedication is not a sacrament; it does not impart grace or salvation to a child. Salvation comes through belief in Jesus Christ as one's personal Lord and Savior. Dedication, however, represents parents’ recognition of a solemn responsibility and desire to raise their child in such a way that the child develops a personal faith and relationship with Jesus.

Traditionally, we suggest that Parent/Child Dedication be reserved for infants to 2nd grade children and their parents.
